GD Timeline
This is the timeline of the story Great Demon. I suggest only reading this once you’ve read at least Ch. 80!

5,000 – 3,001 years ago
The first ancient gods and devils came into existence. Over time, they took form, and conflict arose between them due to the inherently destructive nature of the ancient devils.
Heaven and earth were separated.
The Heavenly Palace was built.
The Vermillion Phoenix tore off a section of Moon-Watching Cliff and hurled it toward the Devil Realm. This fragment would later become known as the Heart-Questioning Rock.
3,000 years ago
The ancient gods eradicated the ancient devils, leaving the young Guanshang as the sole survivor. In the end, all ancient gods perished, with the Slayer God being the last to fall.
Before her demise, the Slayer God split her seven po souls and sealed them within artifacts scattered across the mortal world, ensuring they would safeguard the realm’s peace.
1,000 years ago
The young Guanshang returned as Devil Lord Guanshang, unleashing havoc upon the mortal world.
A fragment of the Slayer God’s po soul awakened and rose to fight against him. However, at the last moment, it failed to completely eradicate him due to the unexpected presence of Zhuyou and Changying from the current timeline.
Wounded in the battle, the Slayer God’s po soul was left weakened, while Devil Lord Guanshang managed to split his hun soul into three parts.
500 – 201 years ago
Zhuyou was born into the Phoenix Clan.
One of Devil Lord Guanshang’s hun souls was reborn as Jingyi of the Phoenix Clan.
A divination foretold that an ancient god would undergo the tribulation of having an incomplete soul.
200 years ago
Changying’s egg had formed, but it remained without consciousness.
Jingyi went to Shenhua Mountain, killed Zhou Xizhao’s disciple, and, for the first time, discovered her own devilish nature.
Zhuyou failed her tribulation after being poisoned by Jingyi’s ancient devil’s blood.
Jingyi stole Zhuyou’s Burning-Heart Wood. She then framed Zhuyou for “stealing the ancient god’s incarnation” and “stabbing Jingyi with her feather.”
Twelve immortals used the Turbid Mirror to uncover the “truth” of Zhuyou’s actions, but the glimpses they saw only seemed to confirm her guilt.
Zhuyou was brought to the Immortal Execution Platform, but at the last moment, she succumbed to her devil nature and transformed. She managed to escape to the Devil Realm.
Jingyi used Zhuyou’s Burning-Heart Wood to develop her own hun and po souls.
100 years ago
Zhuyou stole Changying’s egg from the Dragon Palace in the East Sea.
Changying hatched. She later reclaimed her two po souls from the two copper bells in Huacheng Sect, enduring immense pain due to her still-incomplete soul.
Meanwhile, two hun souls belonging to the Devil Lord had gathered at the Heart-Questioning Rock.
The Heavenly Realm launched an assault on the Devil Realm, even deploying the Devil-Suppressing Tower.
Zhuyou shattered the Devil-Suppressing Tower.
Changying returned to the Nine Heavens.
